Communication and Sustainability

Under the pressure of the ongoing climate upheaval due mainly to heat-trapping pollution, a growing number of companies have wanted to review their energy supply plans.

Communication and Sustainability

The new era known as post fossil fuels is now perceived as an opportunity to improve our lives with a focus on health, the environment but also prosperity as new renewable energy sources are more accessible and not concentrated in a few isolated regions of the Earth.

The facts do not always speak for themselves but they must be accompanied by a complete story that illustrates the starting situation up to the expected finish line. For example, when we prepare a dossier or a communication to validate an investment, are we sure we use the words that involve and create the consensus necessary to face the process? The use of jargon currently in vogue, whether scientific or more commonly found in the media, is not always perceived by the general public as a looming threat.

For example, very common terminology such as: natural gas, climate change, greenhouse gases, natural disasters, do not correctly communicate the severity of the situations underway, whereas if it were used more frequently: methane gas and fossil hydrocarbons; acute climate crisis; combustion pollution that traps heat; floods, landslides, storms as man-made disasters.

Perhaps the meaning would seem clearer to a wider audience. For many, the transition underway, which mainly concerns the middle latitudes from a “temperate climate” to a “tropical climate”, may be evocative of a holiday rather than an upheaval of everyday life.

Bilma can help you complete the environmental and sustainability aspects of your communication. For example, through a path that involves finding common ground with various inclusive phases including people’s priorities, the results obtained, extreme weather, clean energy, the choice to look towards the future.
