Environmental Management Systems

During the Initial Environmental Analysis and the subsequent Gap Analysis, significant strategic aspects emerged which allowed the development of a complete action plan with relevant sustainability goals including:

A) Training and raising staff awareness on production and regulatory environmental aspects. Subsequent improvement programs are developed based on this activity.
B) Reduction of natural resource and energy consumption through the use of a closed-loop system for cooling the presses with heat exchangers.
C) Through the reuse of cutting oil, enabled by the introduction of a multi- stage filtration and sedimentation system, this program has resulted in significant double-digit savings: both in the purchase of new cutting oil and in the reduction of waste production.

Thanks to the compaction of metal scraps through briquetting, several objectives have been achieved, including the reduction of their volume, the recovery of oil present in the scraps, the simplification of their handling and transport, and finally, better financial conditions have been obtained from the foundries for their disposal.

The path proposed by Bilma involves a path of growth through a series of activities aimed at: knowing, managing, and planning. The goals achieved by completing the process have made production more sustainable, addressing aspects that were previously not considered, either as critical issues or opportunities to be managed.
