Management of Hazardous Materials

Numerous materials once widely used in construction and other substances often present in production have been defined as dangerous or harmful to people's health and the environment.

Management of Hazardous Materials

Often these materials are unexpectedly close to the places of daily life and work.

Some industrially synthesized molecules are known as POPs – persistent organic pollutants, as they can hardly be broken down into the original elements.

More commonly these materials are identified by acronyms that have gradually become part of everyday life, such as: Acm: asbestos containing materials; MMVFs: man made vitrous fibers; PCBs: polychlorinated biphenyls, Pfas: polyfluoroalkyl compounds; GHG: greenhouse gas; ODS: ozone-depleting substances; heavy metals; Formaldehyde, Ammonia, Radon, etc. Bilma is specialized in instrumental investigations to detect their presence and in preparing accurate management and remediation plans.

Investigation and Management of Hazardous Materials – project carried out on behalf of a leading international telecommunications group. The presence of dangerous materials was also checked instrumentally in the buildings dedicated to transmission cabins. Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Lazio.
